nOTHING AT ALL to do with this most fabulous meat art- and btw, I have been a fan of meat art for some time, but it just crossed my attention that Jesus well may have been a zombie- according to the story told about him, and I just wanted to ask your opinion on this; being the only zombie expert I know. I am sort of infatuated with the idea of a zombie jesus…

Perfect timing for your question. I am just listening to Godspeed You, Black Emperor.

I think there is actually a comic book in which Jesus is a vampire in the future.

Is he a zombie? Well, he doesn’t eat human flesh (though his followers do), so he’s not a modern zombie. Is he a traditional zombie - the Caribbean mind-control slave? Depends on how you see the god that purportedly raised him from the dead. Is he a controlling puppet master?

What do you think, Lyn? What are your ideas?

Hah! nice veer out of all responsibility to come up with a definitive answer there Missy!

What I think is that this is too dangerous a topic to truly discuss in an open and honest nature here on the wide world web (as one of my clients insists on calling it in his books!) if either of us one day decides to run for president of the united states surely we have already done enough damage. The evangelicals will pull this up and blast us as sinners who pal around with folks who think Jesus is a zombie vampire— hoepfully, looking towards the future, this would work for us rather than against us, but since there is no way of knowing for sure …

and so, sadly, I guess it will have to remain one of many things we will one day discuss over far too many bottles of crisp, dry white wine!

btw there is a rather amusing (tho somewhat slow) 7 min video on youtube when you search for ‘jesus zombie’ that brings my thoughts to life…or at least the life of the undead…

Lyn: Yes, if I ever run for office, I am screwed. I half thought of running for member of parliament here, but I think it’s pretty clear I’ll never be voted into anywhere. It’s for the better.

Now, back to zombie Jesus. Besides the stuff we’ll talk about when we meet and drink a bottle of nice wine, that video. Yowza. I watched it on a big screen to make it more of an event. It reminds me rather of Coven, a longish short film by some guy who took years to make it with his friends and family. Some other guys made a documentary about him called .

Thanks for the suggestion!
